For a more velvet tactile feel add soft touch cover lamination to your printed brochures, but if you are looking for an understated, elegant look choose matt lamination.
We offer a different binding option which is perfect bound. with Tradeprint, there’s sure to be a binding method to suit your brochure, booklet, or catalog.
For Spot UV Brochures , please submit artwork as one file in running order.
Please add two pages to the end of your pdf for the spot UV artwork - e.g. for 20 page booklet, pages 1 - 20 would be the brochure artwork in running order, then page 21 would be front cover spot UV and then 22 would be back cover spot UV. Please leave the last page blank if you do not require spot UV on the back cover.
It is recommended you do not place words, page numbers or images too close to the edges of each page. We would recommend a safe zone on all sides of at least 5mm for Saddle Stitched brochures.
We highly recommend applying lamination to covers with heavy ink coverage. Lamination serves as a protective layer for the cover, preventing any potential marking caused by ink transfer or rubbing off during transit or storage.
The Spot UV artwork should contain solid black shapes in the exact position where the Spot UV is required. Please ensure Spot UV artwork is 100% black only and does not contain any cyan, magenta or yellow and is supplied as vector (rather than a bitmap) to ensure the best result.
Please note: Spot UV is applied using a process similar to screen printing, and has registration tolerances of approximately ±0.5 mm. It is not therefore recommended that small text or thin lines are Spot UV'd as perfect register cannot be guaranteed.
